While this movie marvels from stellar musical scoring and stunning visuals, it however suffers from lack of cohesive narrative. The acting fell a little short for me, and some of the scenes are made just to squeeze some Beatles songs in. One character in the film proved to be useless in the flow of the story and was just an excuse so as to sing “Dear Prudence”. I also didn’t like the part wherein Jude (Jim Sturgess) sang “Revolution”. That scene fell a little flat for me.
But still, this movie is a testament to how great the Beatles’ music actually is. The covers and production numbers have made this movie somehow worth the watch.
