The fact that this was the last film ever made by the late Heath Ledger immediately caught my attention. And gladly, the film did not disappoint. The sad thing though is that Heath Ledger was not the star who shined the most in this movie. Everyone was on top of their game: Christopher Plummer, Tom Waits, and quite surprisingly, Andrew Garfield stands great alongside a stellar cast. Even the imaginary Tonys (Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Collin Farrel) let out brief yet memorable performances.
The use of CGI and the green screen falters on some scenes, but the story and the brilliant performances from the cast somehow made the obvious chroma work forgiven.
